: PLEASE THINK
FOR YOURSELF
BY YOURSELF :
By now, there really ought be a book entitled: "So You're A Black Person: The Dummies Guide ".
I have a problem with indoctrination. It renders you hopeless from sucessfully decisive decison making as it shapes an agenda. The scheme is always bigger than you and I.
I mean seriously, has anyone stepped into a classroom lately? What they're teaching in many colleges is straight up gahbage. That's right, GAH-BAGE. My English teacher thinks she's so hot, this flaming lefty who reminds us in her faux condescension that white men rule the world. That they control everything. She makes out as if she understands "the working man's plight". It seems as if everyone in this minority based classroom simply nod their heads in submission because finally someone has said it out loud. Non-challenging fucks. Funny thing is, she's white herself. I have to stop and wonder what's REALLY wrong with this picture? Because it's not about that she's white, but how unacceptable that message is regardless of her race. A black professor spewing that nonsense would appear base to me. Is it not a teacher's responsibility to inspire their students?
As much as I am inspired to, I can not even look at the liberal school system with it's tenured educators sittin' pretty in their thrones. I blame the fools who follow suit. And here I thought that college was a vineyard of intellectually inspired debate. the kind of informed debate that titillates synapse response. Instead, the air is stagnant with fodder. And the loud chewing of which. Oh how we love some pandering!
Been learning alot about the gears of this world: Politics. There are alot of elements at play here. Don't know why I haven't took into this earlier. Sure enough, no one reads either. Oh wait, does reading the picture count? It turns out that no one knows how to question anything anymore. Noooo, I do not mean conspiracy theory hee-bee-jee-bee, Blair Witch tales that are as good as rice crispies treats on an empty stomach. I'm talking about examining the root of why we (as black people) are inunduated with the world view we have. Who/what exactly is responsible for shaping it? What do our actions, our attitudes really appeal to? Most importantly, what are you doing about it to change? One consensus is clear, apparently the man is keeping us down.
To that I say, Bull Shit. Factor in relationship advice: Sometimes an unsatisfactory relationship [insert mindset] is actually a matter of convenience.
Take for example the ever popular and fatuitous concept of racism. Common answers for the why: Because of the way they [whites] treated us back in them slave days... Because... they look and smell funny...Because...they're crazy, them white folk. The list gets broader and broader like a lazy welfare recipient. Is there any thought of logic in with holding any of these archaic views? Where's the try in getting over this? One leg over..the other. You're just goin' to sit there and play dead? oh, ok punk. I mean really, what the fudge?!
I implore whomever reads this to maintain a healthy mind. Question yourself before you play the blame game. Be objective and open your eyes far from the ego, so frail and delicate it is. Look around and take in what it all means for humanity. Yes, even war isn't always about destruction or peace. RACE really doesn't factor in what you do either you know. I don't care what you were taught in that damned Africana studies class. Well, of course beating someone over the head over and over with that 'stay down bitch!' rhetoric is going to make them hate just about everything white, american, democractic, free market. The only reason I believe why there are truly successful black people (a shame that there's a few) is because they've focused on the now and the them and their futures. These individuals got past the group mentality of the struggle and just went for it, whatever their goal. They also knew it was okay to try something new.
NOTE A LACK OF EMPHASIS ON WHAT OCCURED BEFORE EVEN OUR GRANDMOTHERS WERE BORN. ie, the past slavery institution
HEY-- I didn't say make like it never happened, ok? You can relax about that. I'm telling you to get over it and take advantage of the opportunities that we have as Americans, right now, in 2005. So please feel free to fuck your anchors off. I'm getting wet for some non-race-baiting black folk who don't let others guideline how emo they really are. I believe these constraints are a brand-old scheme to keep you in a new slavery. the mental kind. like depression of a socio-political kind? yeah, like that. |
